Once again, it's that time of year for our "Special" project, Operation Christmas Child.

Spanning the Globe with God's Love

What a wonderful project this is every year as thousands of Canadian families prepare shoe boxes for hurting children around the world. We as a congregation have been joining in this project since 1995, lovingly and carefully packing priceless treasures to the children who receive them. Operation Christmas Child's three simple yet powerful words are JOY, FAITH, and COMPASSION.

What a thrill to be part of something that so beautifully reflects God's wondrous love and compassion. Let our prayers reach even further in blessing these very special children. Let us reach out and touch a child with the love of Jesus this Christmas.

"Give a little something special"

We take a shoe box and fill it with small treasures for a boy or girl ages 2 to 14 years. If you wish, you can wrap it in Christmas paper along with a Christmas card and note, making sure the lid is wrapped separately. Enclose $7.00 in a separate envelope to help with shipping expenses and lay it on top of the gifts in the box. On the due date, November 24th, 2008, these treasured shoe boxes will be packed and taken to our collection center and then sent on their way overseas. Shoe boxes and pamphlets can be picked up in the lower hall.

Remember:

Kick-off date October 19, 2008

Due date November 24, 2008

Let us again give joy to a child, letting them know we have not forgotten. Sincere thanks to our church family and friends for the joy, love, and happiness they have given to these special children over the years.
